This group trip isn't turning out the way I imagined it would. We had so many great activities planned— things I was looking forward to doing together. Now this.

I don't know what happened. Did everyone flake? I thought we were going to visit this ancient beautiful country, take in all the wonders and instead people are doing what? I don't even know where everyone is. Ill, injured, at home stocking up freezers. We were going to tour on bicycles or scooters, see the water, be in it, to the depths.

Instead, the couple of people who did show up when we agreed to show up are messing around in ancient dive suits, too heavy for me to even lift. That's not how we do it anymore. That's old tech, we don't need to be so burdened. I thought we'd all been doing this the whole time. Why are people just getting started now?
