I was confronted by a group of men, the way groups of men still like to confront women, nbs and femmes who are walking alone. It was just as menacing as it ever was— there are more of them than me, they are physically stronger. It feels like it's always been that way. That they can force their will on us, exploit, abuse, taking whatever they want. That familiar fear ran through me, but it evaporated quickly.
